Timer Clocks
Since timing is everything with Word-sportTM we will be presenting two ways of registering time. One can do four things with time... start and stop, count up and count down.

One minute timer
|
The simplest way to play Word-sportTM is to use the one minute count down timer clock included with the game. Just set the clock to a one minute count-down and set on the table within easy reach of all the players. Then start game play as outlined in the game rules. When the first player finishes making words with his allotted (twenty five) letter tiles, that player presses down on the top button of the clock. All remaining players then have one minute to finish with their word puzzles. This speeds up the conclusion of the game. Depending on word formation skills of the players and luck of the tile draw, a round of play may last from four to eight minutes (including the one minute count down). The game option “Wild Tiles” may be used with the one minute countdown timer. |

Tournament timer |
A more advanced way to play Word-sportTM is to determine the win time of the first place finisher, then have a one minute count down for the rest of players to finish their game play. This will require a Tournament Timer Clock. This gives the dimension of win times for all rounds of play, which makes the game of word formation even more competitive. This clock may have the capacity to register second and third place finish times as well. The use of the game option “Wild Tiles” doesn’t apply when playing with the tournament gaming clock. |
You may use either timer clocks for other gaming situations as well. Try to figure out a timing situation for the best selling numbers game called RummikubTM. The constraints of time, by either counting it up or down always seems to get the adrenalin going. Just watch a football or basketball game in the final minutes of play. We welcome your comments on how you employed the timer clocks in your particular gamming situation.
