Word Wonders

As we explained in the section on Superior and Inferior Word Play, one can finish faster with short and simple words. However, it’s not much to be proud of. The noble play of Will “Shatterhaze” Mason during the U-con Gaming Convention at the University of Michigan inspired me to suggest a rule that if one can make up a seven (or more) letter word in their word grid, that player should score five bonus points should that player also place finish. Click here to view the page on Superior and Inferior Word Play for more explanation.

Below is a gallery of ten letter words made out of the allotted twenty five letter tiles used in a round of play. Though not from actual game play, these types of words are possible by a skilled player with the luck of the draw. Most of the words shown are from the Bible Book of Joel that I was skimming through during Sunday school on Dec. 07, 2003.
