Table Setup

Word-sportTM may be “sized” to fit the number of players you have to the size of table available. The best situation is by using a round table, though a rectangular table will also do.

A three ft. diameter table, as found in a coffee house, can play only two people. You may divide the letter tiles into an exact half set by using the notations on the tiles. This way each player gets twenty five tiles each. Use of the timer clock isn’t necessary since the first player to finish is the winner.

A four ft. diameter table may seat from four to six players. Four players will use a full set (100) of letter tiles. If you go to six players (it may be a little cramped), you’ll need 50 more tiles from a second set for a total of 150 letter tiles.

A five ft. diameter table can seat six players more comfortably. But now you can go up to eight players. You’ll need two full sets (total of 100 letter tiles) for eight players. The game may get a little wild with so many players, but that can also make it fun too!
