Game Variations

As you can see in the given game instructions page, the basic format for Word-sport^TM is that all players take another (one) tile from the center of the table after any one player says “GO” (when that player completes his criss-cross words using all the tiles he has). But the beauty of Word-sport^TM doesn’t limit you to our game instructions. You may do an every player “Takes Two”, “Takes Three” or “Takes Four” method of play.

Starting with seven starter tiles is also not a hard/fast rule either. You may start with any number of tiles you like. We start with seven tiles because if it’s good enough for Scrabble®, it’s good enough for Word-sport^TM.

Use of the timer clock is to speed up the conclusion of the game. If you are not in any hurry and like a more laid back approach, just omit the use of the timer.

Game option “Wild Tiles” just adds a new dimension to a word game. You may mix in one, some or all of the “Wild Tiles” face down with the rest of the game tiles, after everyone has taken their starter tiles.
