Divine Caffé in Keego Harbor, MI
On January 20, Word-Sport did a photo-shoot/demonstration for a feature article in the local Oakland Press (out of Pontiac, MI). We set up our tournament table at The Divine Caffé, 2170 Cass Lake Road 48320 in Keego Harbor... just north of Orchard Lake Road. This was our second coffee house appearance. Word-Sport was well received at our last outing at the Coffee Tree in Lapeer.
John and Norann Manos are owners of the Divine Caffé which opened just two years ago. They have a unique line of “Heavenly” beverages that you must come in and try. Divine Caffé also features musical artists most Friday and Saturday evenings. Get more information off their website at www.divinecaffe.com.
Our website host, Buzz Brown of Quantum Leap, was on hand as was Mike Whelan of Elationship Builders, who is instrumental in our games development. Mike also invited some people along for a game demonstration. Click here to view the January 24th 2005 article by Natalie Lombardo of the Oakland Press.
We will schedule a future games night at the Divine Caffé. Mike Petty of New World games may join us as he did at the Coffee Tree in Lapeer last November. He is an independent game inventor who makes highly affordable party games. His latest game “What’s it To Ya?” was well received at our last games fair.
Top performers will be recognized on our website. We will also do drawings to award complimentary coffee certificates to those in attendance. People on our e-mail list will be notified of the exact date and time. Others may keep posted to the calendar box on the bottom of the home page.
